data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A much-loved restaurant has temporarily closed after a <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/health\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">norovirus<\/a> outbreak, as a number of customers fell ill.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A series of recent Google reviews suggested that a number of diners at Three Brothers Burgers, on Welsh Back, had <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/whats-on\/whats-on-news\/much-loved-bristol-restaurant-closes-10724445\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">fallen ill after eating at the restaurant<\/a> on the evenings of Saturday, December 20, and Sunday, December 21.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The restaurant temporarily closed after it became aware of the reports the following day (Monday, December 22) and the incident was investigated by an Environmental Health Officer (EHO), who is in charge of food hygiene ratings, as well as <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/bristol-city-council\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">Bristol City Council<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The restaurant has since heard back from someone who fell, who said they were contacted by Environmental Health after their sample was tested.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">It confirmed that a norovirus outbreak, commonly known as the winter vomiting bug, had occurred at the restaurant<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Three Brothers Burgers has undertaken a deep clean after the EHO suspected the outbreak caused customers to fall ill.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">It plans to reopen to the public on Saturday, January 3.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A spokesperson for Three Brothers Burgers said: &#8220;We have now heard back from one of the people who fell ill, they were contacted by Environmental Health this morning who confirmed that their sample had been tested and found to be positive for norovirus, also known as \u2018the winter vomiting bug\u2019.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;We have been working closely with the EHO since this outbreak and taken their advice on performing a professional deep cleaning routine against norovirus, as they had suspected this was the reason for this outbreak of sickness.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;The restaurant remains closed with the final deep clean happening today and we are planning on reopening to the public this coming Saturday (January 3).<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;We have always taken food hygiene and the safety of our staff and customers as high priority and we are proud of our 5 star food hygiene rating.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The restaurant has been closed for over a week while an
