Queen<\/a> legend Brian May<\/a> has revealed what he would like his legacy to be as he opened up about mortality. The 77-year-old revealed he no longer works on Queen projects for the money, having sold the band’s catalogue, but instead so that he can ensure he has done his “best on anything that I ever touched”. “We recently sold our wares to Sony, of course, so we\u2019re clearly not doing this for the money. When I pop off from this planet, I would like to know that I\u2019ve done my best on anything that I ever touched,” he told Mojo magazine in April this year.<\/p>\n

The guitar icon, who is married to Doctor Who<\/a> star Anita Dobson, 76, announced he had suffered a minor stroke last year, posting a video message to his social media to reassure fans he was doing well. In February this year he said he estimates he has regained 95 per cent of his abilities and said that \u201cis enough”.<\/p>\n

He also revealed the full extent of his condition, indicating it was far more serious than he had first revealed.<\/p>\n

Confessing it had taken “sheer willpower” to recover he said, \u201cI couldn\u2019t get a fork from the table to my mouth without it all going all over the place. It was scary.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fortunately his recovery was quick, adding: \u201cAfter only a few days, it\u2019s amazing what you can get back.”<\/p>\n

“By sheer willpower, you just start retraining your muscle,\u201d he said in a chat with Premier Guitar<\/a> magazine.<\/p>\n

This is the most insight he has given into what he described at the time as a “health hiccup”.<\/p>\n

He took to Instagram on September 4 last year, just days after being hospitalised, to reveal the news<\/a> but didn’t fully indicate how serious it was.<\/p>\n

In a video shared to the platform, he said: “I\u2019m here to bring you first of all some news, I think. The good news is that I can play guitar after the events of the last few days.<\/p>\n

\u201cI say this because it was in some doubt because that little health hiccup happened about a week ago. What they called it was a \u2018minor stroke\u2019.
