{"id":667431,"date":"2026-01-01T19:20:12","date_gmt":"2026-01-01T19:20:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/667431\/"},"modified":"2026-01-01T19:20:12","modified_gmt":"2026-01-01T19:20:12","slug":"snow-and-ice-warning-issued-for-northern-ireland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/667431\/","title":{"rendered":"Snow and ice warning issued for Northern Ireland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The UK Met Office has issued a Status Yellow snow and ice warning for counties Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry.<\/p>\n<p>The warning will come into place at midnight and will remain in place until 10am tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>The Met Office said following a spell of rain, sleet and hill snow this evening, icy stretches are likely to develop on untreated surfaces during the early hours of tomorrow morning.<\/p>\n<p>It said there will also be some snow showers early tomorrow and that it could lead to patchy accumulations of 1-2cm of snow.<\/p>\n<p>The Status Yellow warning comes as a cold snap has arrived for the entire country.<\/p>\n<p>Met \u00c9ireann said temperatures are due to drop to between -1 and +3 degrees overnight.<\/p>\n<p>Rain will develop in Ulster before moving south across Leinster and Connacht overnight.
