MIAMI GARDENS \u2014 Miami Dolphins<\/a> tight end Pharaoh Brown<\/a> has the itch. On a normal day, he\u2019s not one to drive slowly, but hanging around Formula 1<\/a> drivers this week leading into the Miami Grand Prix <\/a>has him wondering what he has to do to get behind a wheel and do a lap on the circuit.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m trying to get them to allow me to drive on the track,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Having talked to drivers, Brown knows they can top 200 mph buzzing around Hard Rock Stadium. Is he supposed to be impressed by that? Because if there\u2019s one Dolphin who knows what it\u2019s like to fly when he\u2019s at the controls, it\u2019s Brown.<\/p>\n

He has a pilot\u2019s license.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust got it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

So Brown didn\u2019t hesitate when asked who on the Dolphins would make the best F1 driver.<\/p>\n

\u201cProbably myself,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m just precise. I like to go fast. I\u2019m not scared and I\u2019m a pilot, so I\u2019m used to, you know, quick moves.\u201d<\/p>\n

The problem Brown has is the same one many of his teammates do. As they mingled with F1 drivers who took turns in a mini-field-goal-kicking contest inside the stadium, they couldn\u2019t help but notice the size difference. Brown is 6-feet-5 and 246 pounds. Linebacker Quinton Bell is 6-4, 255. You couldn\u2019t fit them in Max Verstappen\u2019s Red Bull car with a shoehorn.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they make one for my size, I promise I\u2019ll get in,\u201d said Bell, who figured that running back DeVon Achane and kicker Jason Sanders would make the best F1 drivers simply because they\u2019d have the best shot at fitting in a car.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve seen how short everybody is,\u201d Brown said. \u201cI walked over to the paddocks in the garage and there\u2019s no chance that I can fit my legs in one of those cars. I was kind of sad at first.\u201d<\/p>\n

Players and drivers compared notes on what it takes to be at the top of their respective professions. Edge rushers Jaelan Phillips and Bradley Chubb diagrammed football plays for McLaren driver Oscar Piastri. Drivers shared insight on not just what it\u2019s like to see the world in a blur, but the work that goes into any successful Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re in the stands and we don\u2019t get to see all the fun stuff going on,\u201d Brown said. \u201cSo now I can just be a kid again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown had some idea of what drivers endure, having watched the Netflix series \u201cDrive to Survive.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI like Lewis Hamilton and what\u2019s the one guy, he don\u2019t take no (bleep)?\u201d Brown said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMax Verstappen, yeah.\u201d<\/p>\n
