{"id":668063,"date":"2026-01-02T02:27:15","date_gmt":"2026-01-02T02:27:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/668063\/"},"modified":"2026-01-02T02:27:15","modified_gmt":"2026-01-02T02:27:15","slug":"more-ambulances-on-the-roads-as-wmas-expands-frontline-fleet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/668063\/","title":{"rendered":"More ambulances on the roads as WMAS expands frontline fleet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aiir-c-news-figure__image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/6956d68c7efe4.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"aiir-c-news-article__abstract\">\n            Patients in the West Midlands are set to benefit from a multi-million pound investment which will see the number of ambulances on the frontline rise by 5%.\n        <\/p>\n<p>The additional funding from the Department of Health and Social Care will see the Trust\u2019s frontline fleet rise by 23 to 500 vehicles,\u00a0helping crews reach patients faster and deliver lifesaving care when it matters most.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the diesel ambulances, the Trust will also receive eight fully electric ambulances by the end of March.<\/p>\n<p>The expansion forms part of a wider investment that will see 142 vehicles added to the fleet by the end of March 2026. Of these, 87 have already been delivered and are supporting communities across the West Midlands.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Alongside increasing capacity, the investment also supports WMAS\u2019s commitment to sustainability. West Midlands Ambulance Service operates one of the most modern ambulance fleets in the UK.
