His parents Colette and Ryan Lynch welcomed their new baby at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. He was born 21 minutes after the bells just a few minutes after the first baby was born in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgowlive.co.uk\/news\/glasgow-news\/glasgow-pupil-gets-out-hospital-33107154\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">Ayrshire<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Baby Arabella was the first baby born in the country and she was welcomed into the world at 12.14am by her proud parents Lucy-Jane Bark and Luke Hutchinson at University Hospital Crosshouse. The little one weighed in at a healthy 8lb 9oz.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Parents Courtney Brown and Graham Lindsey greeted their baby boy Hunter at St John&#8217;s Hospital in Livingston who was born just before the first baby who was born in Glasgow, at 12.26am, and he weighed in at 7lb 9oz. Ms Brown said: \u201cWe\u2019re absolutely ecstatic. It\u2019s dad\u2019s first wee boy. We\u2019re over the moon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Edinburgh&#8217;s first baby of 2026 was a little boy Charlie who was born at 2.45am to parents Alanah Gardner and Oli. His weight is still to be confirmed and Mrs Gardener said: \u201cThe midwives have been unbelievable, so well looked after.
