Same trusted journalism.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019d rather have me take the smaller one,\u201d Trump added. \u201cI take the larger one, but I\u2019ve done it for years, and what it does do is it causes bruising.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In recent months <a class=\"post_in-line_link\" href=\"https:\/\/inews.co.uk\/news\/world\/five-recent-moments-resurrected-questions-trumps-health-4119623?ico=in-line_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">questions have swirled<\/a> over the health of Trump, who at 79 is the second-oldest person to ever hold the presidency.<\/p>\n<p>Pictures showing bruises on his hands have <a class=\"post_in-line_link\" href=\"https:\/\/inews.co.uk\/opinion\/trump-proven-no-one-over-70-fit-president-4085160?ico=in-line_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fuelled speculation<\/a> over his well-being, as well as instances where the President closed his eyes during public events.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"507\" width=\"760\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/SEI_279410306.jpg\" alt=\"(FILES) A view of the hand of US President Donald Trump as he greets South Korean President Lee Jae Myung as he arrives at the West Wing entrance of the White House in Washington, DC, on August 25, 2025. (Photo by SAUL LOEB \/ AFP via Getty Images)\" class=\"wp-image-4144452\"  \/>Bruises were spotted on Trump\u2019s hands when he met South Korean President Lee Jae Myung in 2025 (Photo: Saul Loeb\/AFP via Getty)<\/p>\n<p>He also reportedly underwent an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan in October, which the White House said formed part of his \u201croutine yearly checkup\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Trump said at the time that the MRI \u201cwas perfect\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>However, when asked about the MRI, Trump and his doctor, Sean Barbabella, told the Wall Street Journal that the President underwent a CT scan.<\/p>\n<p>Barbabella said Trump\u2019s doctors had initially said they would perform either an MRI or a CT scan but decided to do the latter \u201cto definitively rule out any cardiovascular issues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It revealed no abnormalities, according to Barbabella.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about reports that he had appeared to fall asleep during public events, he told the paper: \u201cI\u2019ll just close.
