Work is underway to repair the damaged stop.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\"><strong collision was one of many as freezing temperatures turned the region&#8217;s roads into ice rinks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">At one point, around 15 National Express West Midlands bus routes were affected by the weather but many resumed their usual route as the afternoon went on.<\/p>\n<p \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Adam Slater, who filmed the scenes on Aldridge Road, said: &#8220;I left the apartment around 11.45am to go to One Stop Shopping Centre.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;I returned home at 12 to find the bus crashed into the bus stop.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;It was extremely slippy everywhere like black ice.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Meanwhile, buses were stranded on the Queslett Road and skidding at the Romsley Road terminal in Bartley Green.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Cars also slid into each other in Handsworth and Hockley.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The council said the gritters would be out around 5pm on Friday (Jan 2).<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">They said: &#8220;Our winter service crews will carry out a precautionary treatment on all routes from 5pm today.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;Footway
