Killie chiefs are on the hunt for a new boss after sacking Stuart Kettlewell\"NeilNeil McCann<\/p>\n

Neil McCann could be a shock contender for the Kilmarnock<\/a> job.<\/p>\n

The former Dundee<\/a> boss is one of the names being considered by the Rugby Park board.<\/p>\n

The Killie hierarchy are pushing ahead with final shortlist interviews over this weekend and at the start of next week.<\/p>\n

McCann<\/a> had a spell in charge of Dundee and was last as an interim at Inverness Caledonian Thistle back in 2021.<\/p>\n

Since then he has been working as a television and radio pundit.<\/p>\n

Record Sport <\/strong>broke the story earlier this week that they are set for talks with ex-Hearts and Dundee United boss Robbie Neilson.<\/a><\/p>\n

Neilson is currently No. 2 to Lee Johnson at SK Lommel.<\/p>\n

Aberdeen first-team coach Peter Leven is another who has strong admirers at his former club.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen if Leven would leave the Dons at this stage.<\/p>\n

Leven has had spells at Killie as a player and an assistant manager.<\/p>\n

Steve Bruce has also been linked with the job but that has been pushed by an agent.<\/p>\n

Kilmarnock have been looking for a boss since they sacked Stuart Kettlewell last month.<\/p>\n

Kris Doolan has been put in caretaker charge.<\/p>\n
