Former Premier League boss Sam Allardyce believes that Liverpool will sell Mohamed Salah if the club receives a suitable offer during the January transfer window.<\/p>\n
Salah<\/a> was outstanding for the Reds last season, but has endured a difficult 2025-26 campaign, and he did not line up in any of Liverpool<\/a>‘s five games preceding his departure for the Africa Cup of Nations last month.<\/p>\n It looked as though Salah’s ill-advised chat with reporters in the Elland Road mixed zone<\/a> at the start of December could spell the end of his Liverpool career, but his return to the fold several days later suggested he had patched things up with Arne Slot \u2013 after previously saying that he had no relationship with the Reds’ head coach.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Ex-Liverpool star reveals private chat with Harvey Elliott over transfer decision<\/a>READ MORE: 6 former Premier League players currently at Charlotte as Harvey Elliott finds out<\/a><\/p>\n However, it remains to be seen how Salah will react if he continues to primarily be used as a substitute upon his return to Merseyside in January \u2013 and Allardyce believes the club would choose to sell him if the opportunity to do so were to arise.<\/p>\n \u201cMake no mistake, Liverpool will sell him if a Saudi club comes in for him with a good offer,” Allardyce told Footy Accumulators<\/a>‘ No Tippy Tappy Football podcast<\/a>, in partnership with BOYLE Sports<\/a>.<\/p>\n “There’s no loyalty either way in football, whether it\u2019s players or when the football club wants to get rid of them.<\/p>\n \u201cThey’ve done it before. How much did they make off Jordan Henderson? Normally, he would have seen his contract out and gone for free, but they got nearly 20 million for him.
