A park in the Ferguslie area of Paisley was sealed off by police on Thursday morning following a reported assault.<\/p>\n
Glencoats Park was cordoned off at both entrances as officers carried out enquiries after a man was attacked nearby.<\/p>\n
Police Scotland confirmed that a 38-year-old man was assaulted around 2.10am on Thursday 2nd January, in the Oakridge Crescent area of Paisley.<\/p>\n
Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment. His condition has not been confirmed.<\/p>\n
Police closed the park while officers carried out door-to-door enquiries in the surrounding area.<\/p>\n
A Police Scotland spokesperson said:
\u201cPolice were called around 2.10am on Thursday, January 2, to a report of a 38-year-old man assaulted near Oakridge Crescent, Paisley. He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n
