I joined Pakistan TV on Friday for a 17-minute analysis of European support for Ukraine\u2019s resistance of Russia\u2019s invasion.\n<\/p>\n
I discuss recent developments, from Europe\u2019s involvement in proposals to end the invasion to its commitment of a \u20ac90 billion loan to meet Kyiv\u2019s financial needs into 2027.<\/p>\n
I evaluate longer-term European plans, including the intention to put \u20ac800 billion into defense investment and production over the next five years.<\/p>\n
And I emphasize, pushing back the narrative of Pakistan TV: this is not as much the \u201cmilitarization\u201d of Europe as it is the response to the threat of Vladimir Putin\u2019s Russia across all political, economic, social, and military spheres.<\/p>\n
\nIt\u2019s a question for all countries. Are you going to stand up for the international system? Are you going to stand up for the United Nations? Are you going to stand up for regional organizations?<\/p>\n
Because unless you take a firm line with both the Russians and the Trump Administration, they will take you down this path of disorder. It is a \u201csurvival of the fittest\u201d approach that we had in the 19th century and that, after two World Wars, we tried to get away from.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I detail a positive sign from this week\u2019s talks in Florida, with Donald Trump accepting a 15-year guarantee and Ukraine and Europe seeking up to 50.<\/p>\n
But I also delve into the divided Trump Administration, with Vice President J.D. Vance leading the \u201canti-Ukraine\u201d faction. I look at the Kremlin\u2019s attempts to manipulate the division, from its demand for all of the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine to its unsupport claimed of a Ukrainian attack on Vladimir Putin\u2019s residence.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
