Every Glasgow Derby is massive for Celtic, but this one feels especially decisive.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wilfried Nancy has issued a battle cry<\/a> after a dismal defeat to Motherwell, and many feel that a win over Rangers will be essential if he is to turn it around.<\/p>\n

Celtic\u2019s<\/a> January business is underway with the loan signing of Julian Araujo from Bournemouth,<\/a> but there are still major question marks over Celtic\u2019s personnel.<\/p>\n

And despite Rangers having their worst start to a season in history under Russell Martin,<\/a> they could draw level on points with the Hoops if they win today\u2019s Derby.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s fair to say that the Hoops support isn\u2019t unanimously positive, but former captain Paul Lambert<\/a> still thinks they\u2019re favourites.<\/p>\n

Celtic hero Paul Lambert on Glasgow Derby vs Rangers<\/p>\n

Celtic drew the reverse fixture 0-0 at Ibrox, with two different managers in charge of the clubs that day.<\/p>\n

In the Premier Sports Cup semi-final in November, Martin O\u2019Neill<\/a> guided the Hoops to an extra time victory.<\/p>\n

That game feels like more than two months ago though, given how much has changed since then.<\/p>\n

Speaking on talkSPORT,<\/a> Lambert had a message for fans attending at Celtic Park today, encouraging them to do one thing.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThe only concern I\u2019ve got at Celtic, probably, is that I hope the crowd stay with them.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve probably seen it\u2026 one bad pass and everyone wants you off. That\u2019s the difference with being a Celtic or Rangers player. You can\u2019t really make a mistake.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the Celtic lads get nervous with the crowd on them, then it becomes a bit more difficult. So hopefully the crowd stay with them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Celtic are favourites. Slight favourites. They just need to get their form right.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new manager has just come in, he\u2019s got every right to say what he wants to say \u2013 but at Celtic, you can\u2019t lose. You can\u2019t lose. It doesn\u2019t matter who you\u2019re playing against \u2013 you can\u2019t lose.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think they have to win this one. It will keep the wolves away from the door for a little bit longer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Celtic under Wilfried Nancy so far<\/p>\n

Nancy\u2019s first four games couldn\u2019t have really gone much worse.<\/p>\n

In a start unprecedented in Celtic history, he lost against Hearts, Roma, St Mirren and Dundee United, facing calls for the sack after just a fortnight in the job.<\/p>\n

The 48-year-old seemingly found his feet with wins over Aberdeen and Livingston, but this week was always going to be a different kettle of fish.<\/p>\n

And with the defeat to Motherwell, Nancy couldn\u2019t really be under more early pressure ahead of his first Glasgow Derby.<\/a><\/p>\n
