And so here we are: the first WAYP<\/strong><\/a> of 2026. Fortunately, this is one feature where we don\u2019t intend to reinvent the wheel. So, you can expect the same regularly scheduled Talking Point, every Saturday, just like it\u2019s always been.<\/p>\n

Honestly, I’m not sure what I’ll play this weekend. I’ll maybe just chill out with some multiplayer games, which usually means crashing out on The Finals<\/a> or screaming “don’t shoot!” in ARC Raiders<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I’ve been neglecting my Steam account an awful lot lately. I’m thinking it’s time I pick up Tempest Rising<\/a> and spend some time with it. I’ve been itching to try it for a while, and now is the time, surely!<\/p>\n

I don’t want Christmas to end, so the idea of defending Batman against eight of Black Mask\u2019s assassins, and fighting a thug in a Santa hat in snowy Gotham, means WB Games Montr\u00e9al’s PS3 Batman: Arkham Origins<\/a> is a perfect way to start 2026.<\/p>\n

I’m still travelling, so I’ll continue playing piddly little things on my phone. I’ve been booting up Resident Evil Survival Unit<\/a> a little bit lately, and I think it’s fun enough.<\/p>\n

Happy new year! I’ll be honest, the Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve<\/a> announcement has me so amped up, I’m very tempted to fire up Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown<\/a> and blast through the campaign again. Not sure there’s a better way to see in 2026.<\/p>\n
