Picture: Traffic Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists in Badenoch and Strathspey have been urged to avoid travel as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PSOSHighland\">&#8220;most routes [are] severely impacted&#8221;<\/a><\/strong> by further snow and drifts.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/PoliceScotlandHighlandandIslands\/posts\/pfbid09zJG1AoUDHoypF6cJkCjoK36ujXg2k7vFsTRmG5RiipZQtco3N8kQEmJSNjkgxzul\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">police issued the plea<\/a><\/strong> on Saturday night <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.strathspey-herald.co.uk\/news\/badenoch-and-strathspey-s-yellow-warning-in-place-until-mond-423446\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">after a day in which heavy snowfalls<\/a><\/strong> and drifting brought chaos to many parts of the north of Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>The drifts are so bad that the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.strathspey-herald.co.uk\/news\/extremely-difficult-conditions-block-further-roads-after-h-423424\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A9 and A99 in Sutherland and Caithness have been &#8220;impassable&#8221;<\/a><\/strong> for most of the day, and drifting has also been an issue in other parts of Highland, Moray and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/trafficscotland\/status\/2007537345336414707\">Aberdeenshire<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Urging motorists not to travel, a Police Scotland spokesperson said: &#8220;Roads across Badenoch and Strathspey continue to be badly affected by adverse weather, with most routes severely impacted by snow and drifting snow.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Travel conditions remain hazardous and the public are strongly advised not to travel unless their journey is absolutely essential.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>    Do you want to respond to this article?
