A police force in Wales has sent a warning to parents of a Welsh town after a “concerning increase” in anti-social behaviour in the area. Gwent Police<\/a> are asking parents and guardians of youths in Cwmbran to make sure they know where their children are and what they are doing.<\/p>\n

This comes after an increase of reports of antisocial behaviour in Cwmbran town centre, particularly around the McDonald’s and bus stop areas. Police are pleading for parents and guardians to work with them to keep the community safe.<\/p>\n

The statement reads: “Attention Parents\/Guardian’s of Cwmbran. We would like to bring to your attention an important matter concerning the safety and well-being of our community’s youth.<\/p>\n

“Recently, we have observed a concerning increase in reports of antisocial behaviour in Cwmbran Town Centre, particularly around the McDonald’s and bus stop areas.<\/p>\n

“As responsible guardians, we kindly ask that you take a moment to ensure you are aware of your children’s whereabouts and activities. It is essential for their safety and for the harmony of our community that we work together to address these issues.<\/p>\n

“Thank you for your cooperation and support in fostering a safe environment for all.”<\/p>\n

One person commented that they had “never seen behaviour like it” near the McDonalds and Home Bargains stores. Adding: “Blocking the path with bikes when the an elderly woman was trying to get through.”<\/p>\n
