Callum Turner<\/a> has reportedly been telling his friends that he is set to play the new 007.<\/p>\n The Eternity actor, 35, is one of the many famous faces in the running to play the new Bond, fighting off the likes of\u00a0Aaron Taylor-Johnson<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0James Norton<\/a>.<\/p>\n As Callum emerges as the \u2018clear favourite\u2019 for the role<\/a>, it has been rumoured that the star has told friends that he has been confirmed for the role.<\/p>\n The Daily Mail<\/a> reported that the actor has been \u2018blabbing\u2019 to his close friends, claiming he\u2019s the new Bond.<\/p>\n \u2018He\u2019s been blabbing all over town. Callum is the new Bond, it\u2019s been confirmed. Everyone in his circle is talking about it. It\u2019s the worst-kept secret going,\u2019 a source told the outlet.<\/p>\n It was added that his popstar girlfriend, Dua Lipa<\/a>, is delighted by this new role, and interested in being the singer to perform the new Bond theme tune.<\/p>\n \t\t They added: \u2018Dua is over the moon for Callum. She\u2019s been saying she\u2019d love to record the Bond theme.\u2019<\/p>\n Dua would be joining the likes of stars including Adele<\/a>, Sam Smith, and Billie Eilish, who have all written popular songs for the iconic franchise<\/a>.<\/p>\n Dua previously wrote Swan Song for the 2019 sci-fi movie Alita: Battle Angel, so is no stranger to collaborating on a song for a film\u2019s soundtrack.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tWhich actors have played James Bond already?\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t Earlier this year it was announced that\u00a0Amazon MGM Studios had gained full creative control of the franchise<\/a>, with long-serving producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson also stepping down.<\/p>\n While Amazon and Villeneuve have remained tight-lipped on their casting plans, Deadline has previously reported the director is searching for three things when choosing the next star of the Bond franchise \u2013 a man, a Brit, and one who is unknown.<\/p>\n Although Lashana Lynch briefly took over the 007 title from Craig in No Time to Die,\u00a0it\u2019s unlikely a female Bond would eventuate<\/a>.<\/p>\n In 2020, former producer Broccoli said: \u2018James Bond can be of any colour, but he is male. I\u2019m not particularly interested in taking a male character and having a woman play it.
