{"id":673696,"date":"2026-01-04T17:21:12","date_gmt":"2026-01-04T17:21:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/673696\/"},"modified":"2026-01-04T17:21:12","modified_gmt":"2026-01-04T17:21:12","slug":"ronan-keating-says-boyzone-tour-would-be-incredibly-unhealthy-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/673696\/","title":{"rendered":"Ronan Keating says Boyzone tour would be \u2018incredibly unhealthy\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Irish singer<strong> Ronan Keating<\/strong> has said a <strong>tour<\/strong> with former band <strong>Boyzone<\/strong> would be \u201c<strong>incredibly unhealthy<\/strong>\u201d, and that the reunion shows later this year will mark their \u201cfinal chapter\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The 48-year-old discussed Boyzone\u2019s upcoming concerts in June, during which the full band will reunite for two nights at London\u2019s Emirates stadium \u2013 the first time since their five-night run at the London Palladium in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on Tracks Of My Years, Keating said the band do not want to tour again, and described the two shows as a way for them to say goodbye, adding: \u201cThis is it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"924\" width=\"640\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/ronan-keating-says-boyzone-tour-would-be-incredibly-unhealthy.jpg\" alt=\"The Olivier Awards 2018 \u2013 London\" data-title=\"The Olivier Awards 2018 \u2013 London\" data-copyright-holder=\"PA Archive\" data-copyright-notice=\"PA Archive\/PA Images\" data-credit=\"Isabel Infantes\" data-usage-terms=\"\"\/>Keating described Boyzone\u2019s upcoming two shows as a way for them to say goodbye (Isabel Infantes\/PA)<\/p>\n<p>Formed in 1993, the group is made up of Keating, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and the late Stephen Gately \u2013 and went on to secure six UK number one singles and five UK number one albums.<\/p>\n<p>The group first broke up in 2000, as their members went on to pursue solo careers, before reuniting in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>The upcoming one-off shows, called Two For The Road, will follow on from their 2019 farewell tour, Thank You And Goodnight.<\/p>\n<p>Keating said: \u201cIt\u2019s our way of writing the final chapter, saying goodbye.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a farewell tour. There\u2019s no new music. We\u2019re not getting the band back together again. We\u2019re not touring across the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are offers coming in left, right and centre to go to Asia, to go into Europe. It\u2019s a blanket no. And to come away from that then, there\u2019d be a lot of work on rebuilding ourselves individually to the strong people that we feel we are now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all have our own lives and careers away from the band, but we can come back for that week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019ll be spectacular. We\u2019ll put on all the fireworks and make it magic.
