Emmerdale<\/a>‘s big crossover episode<\/a> with Coronation Street<\/a> – Corriedale – finally airs tomorrow.<\/p>\n

For the first time in the soaps’ history, characters will meet one another in the aftermath of a devastating multi-vehicle pile-up<\/a> on a road between their respective fictional locations.<\/p>\n

However, if you’re a hardcore Corrie fan and have never watched an episode of their Yorkshire counterpart, you may be a little confused about who everyone is, and what is happening.<\/p>\n

John Sugden’s reign of terror<\/strong>\"Oliver<\/p>\n

John Sugden is a key part of the Corriedale proceedings.\u00a0ITV<\/p>\n

In August 2024, Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) was stunned to learn that she had an older half-brother, John (Oliver Farnworth), who was born out of an affair<\/a> her dad Jack had with a teacher called Barbara in the late ’80s.<\/p>\n

It soon became apparent that he was a very complex character with a hero complex, who would stage dangerous incidents to make himself look like the better party. He has killed two people, including Cain Dingle’s (Jeff Hordley) son Nate.<\/a><\/p>\n

John fell in love with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), who was once married to his imprisoned half-brother Robert (Ryan Hawley).<\/p>\n

On John and Aaron’s wedding day, Robert returned and made it clear that he still had feelings for his ex-hubby. The deranged villain dragged Aaron off a clifftop, hoping that they could be ‘together forever’.<\/p>\n

He subsequently went on the run, but has returned over the Christmas period to seek revenge.<\/a><\/p>\n

John is hoping to start a new life with Aaron.\u00a0ITV<\/p>\n

Both Robert and Aaron have been held at gunpoint, with the latter realising that the only way to stop John would be to pretend to go along with his plan to move away together.<\/p>\n

Charity Dingle’s baby nightmare<\/strong>\"Vanessa<\/p>\n

Vanessa has revealed Charity’s baby secret.\u00a0ITV<\/p>\n

Soap legend Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) will do anything for her granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill), who is living with life-limiting illness Fanconi anaemia, which increases her risk of developing cancer.<\/p>\n

Her greatest desire was to have a child with husband Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), but during IVF treatment they realised she had early-stage cervical cancer and she had to have a hysterectomy. Charity stepped in and decided to carry a child for them.<\/p>\n

However, at the same time, Charity strayed<\/a> from husband Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) with ex-lover Ross Barton (Michael Parr), and fell pregnant with his child instead.<\/p>\n

Mack is determined to find Sarah and Jacob.\u00a0ITV<\/p>\n

She’s been keeping this information under her hat for months, but on New Year’s Day, her ex-fianc\u00e9e Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) drunkenly told Mack the truth.<\/p>\n

In tomorrow’s crossover, he’s determined to reach Sarah and Jacob ahead of their honeymoon to explain what Charity has been up to.<\/p>\n

Ray Walters and Celia Daniels’s criminal masterplan exposed<\/strong>\"Celia<\/p>\n

Ray and Celia are some of the worst villains Emmerdale has ever seen.\u00a0ITV<\/p>\n

Teenagers April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) and Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) have found themselves exploited by newcomers<\/a> Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) and Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) this year.<\/p>\n

The mother and son duo have been running a drugs operation across Yorkshire, recruiting the youngsters as part of it. They later forced April to sell her body, though when she refused, she smashed a vodka bottle over the head of a creepy ‘client’.<\/p>\n

Ray made her believe that she’d killed the man, and has been blackmailing her and dad Marlon (Mark Charnock) for months. When they threatened to go to the police, Celia instructed Ray to plow into Dylan with his car.<\/a><\/p>\n

Laurel is now aware of Ray’s dark secrets.\u00a0ITV<\/p>\n

After weeks in a coma, Dylan woke and told April about something else he’d discovered – Celia and Ray were forcing people – including Paddy Dingle’s (Dominic Brunt) dad Bear Wolf<\/a> (Joshua Richards) – to work on their farm.<\/p>\n

Ray has also been enjoying a relationship with oblivious Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy), and in a desperate bid to be with her, he killed domineering Celia so that they wouldn’t have to flee the village.<\/p>\n

In the moments before, she’d told him that she’d killed Bear.<\/p>\n

However, when Ray went to deliver the good news to Laurel that he wouldn’t be leaving after all, Dylan had already told her everything.<\/p>\n
