Bristol Palin<\/a> shared an update on the facial paralysis that has affected half of her face for nearly a year.\n<\/p>\n In a Jan. 3 post on her Instagram Stories<\/a>, Bristol, 35, shared a clip from a Dec. 9 \u201cAsk Me Anything,\u201d\u00a0in which an Instagram user inquired whether there was any \u201cprogress\u201d on her condition.\n<\/p>\n \u201cIf anyone’s wondering, today’s day 323 of my face being paralyzed<\/a>,” Bristol said in response to the question.\n<\/p>\n \u201cNot looking great,\u201d she added, before taking off her sunglasses to show viewers that she is still unable to move half of her face.\n<\/p>\n Bristol Palin.<\/p>\n Bristol Palin\/Instagram<\/p>\n “Not a whole lot of movement,\u201d she continued.\n<\/p>\n Bristol, the daughter of former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin<\/a>, went on to share that she eventually plans to treat her left eye with Botox, as \u201cit just gets so small when I smile or when I’m expressive at all.\u201d\n<\/p>\n Never miss a story \u2014 sign up for PEOPLE’s free daily newsletter<\/a> to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer\u200b\u200b, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n \u201cCould be worse, could be better. So I went, looked in the mirror. I\u2019m like, \u2018Wow. This is looking a little weird.\u2019 \u201d\n<\/p>\n \u201cWithin a couple hours, the entire left side of my face was numb and just paralyzed \u2026 Couldn\u2019t really blink my eye. Play now!<\/a>\n<\/p>\n According to John Hopkins Medicine<\/a>, Bell\u2019s palsy is a sudden paralysis or weakness of the facial muscles, usually on one side of the face. While not considered permanent, it may not “disappear” in rare cases. It usually resolves within six months of the onset of symptoms \u2014 a far shorter time than what Bristol has been experiencing.\n<\/p>\n Steroids, antiviral medications and physical therapy are recommended treatments, and Bristol shared that she’s tried \u201ceverything imaginable to resolve this\u201d in a February update<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n
