It\u2019s Week 18, and few games carry much meaning\u2014but that wasn’t the case for the matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While the fate of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a> and Carolina Panthers<\/a> hung in the balance, the future of Falcons head coach Raheem Morris was also up in the air\u2014but it has now been decided.<\/p>\n

Morris was fired Sunday evening along with general manager Terry Fontenot.<\/p>\n

And after today’s events, it doesn’t come as much of a shock.<\/p>\n

Cameras caught Falcons star wide receiver Drake London appearing to be fed up with his coach.<\/p>\n

London scored a touchdown, and Morris went over to speak with him, but London wanted no part of the conversation.<\/p>\n

He then went to the bench, where another coach was waiting, and the two appeared to exchange heated words in a brief shouting match.<\/p>\n

Atlanta fans looked to be in agreement with London regarding the coaching staff.<\/p>\n

“The whole locker room knows Raheem is a joke,” one fan commented on X.<\/p>\n

“Yeah he\u2019s tired of this team\u2026 can\u2019t say I blame him,” another fan chimed in.<\/p>\n

“Fire Raheem Morris,” one more simply added.<\/p>\n

Atlanta won 19-17, giving the Panthers the NFC South crown for the first time since 2015<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bryce Young and the young Carolina squad are going dancing.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile for the Dirty Birds, they finished the season at a disappointing 8\u20139 and have missed the postseason once again.<\/p>\n

In a season of ‘what-ifs’ for Atlanta, the biggest one is probably inexplicably losing to the New York Jets 27-24.<\/p>\n

If they had won that game then today would have clinched them the division for the first time since 2017. Instead, it’s another January spent on the couch.<\/p>\n

Owner Arthur Blank had enough and sweeping changes are now underway in Atlanta.<\/p>\n
