A toddler has died after a medical emergency on Sunday evening, January 4. Emergency services including an air ambulance attended but despite their best efforts, the toddler was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
South Wales Police<\/a> was called to Gladstone Road in Barry at around 9.30pm on January 4. Around seven emergency services vehicles were pictured at the scene just after midnight, as well as an air ambulance.<\/p>\n Police said that despite an immediate response from ambulance crews, the toddler could not be saved.<\/p>\n They are not treating the child’s death as suspicious, and have offered their condolences to the toddler’s family.<\/p>\n A South Wales Police spokesperson said: “Just before 9.25pm last night, Sunday, January 4, emergency services received a report concerning a toddler suffering a medical episode in a property on Gladstone Road, Barry<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Despite an immediate response from ambulance crews and police the toddler was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n “The death is not being treated as suspicious.<\/p>\n “We wish to express our heartfelt condolences to the family during this difficult time.”<\/p>\n Get daily breaking news<\/strong> updates on your phone by joining our WhatsApp community here<\/a>.
