Jody Williams is bringing her West Village spot to Covent Garden<\/p>\n
We just wrote about London\u2019s enduring love for NYC-inspired restaurants<\/a>, and right on cue, news breaks of another New York import to London. James Beard Award-winning chef and restaurateur Jody Williams is brining her cult spot Buvette to town, taking over the former St. John Bakery site in Neal\u2019s Yard<\/a>.<\/p>\n Jody, who also co-owns Via Carota, I Sodi, The Commerce Inn and Bar Pisellino with her wife Rita Sodi, first opened Buvette in the West Village in 2011 and has since taken the restaurant to Paris<\/a>, Tokyo and Seoul. The 80-cover London outpost will be open all day, meaning you can pop in for a coffee, a leisurely lunch on the terrace or post-theatre<\/a> cocktails. We don\u2019t have a menu yet but we\u2019d expect the menu to be similar to that on offer in NYC, which includes French<\/a> dishes like artichokes barigoule, escargots, steak tartare, coq au vin, and tarte tatin.<\/p>\n Key Information<\/p>\n Opening date<\/strong> | spring 2026
