In a statement, Nicola Williams said, \u201cWe would like to pass on our sincerest gratitude to all involved in the search for Bryn over the last three weeks, including the police, voluntary search services, and the public for all their work and support.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement comes as police have confirmed that a body discovered on the North Down coast has been formally identified as that of Mr Williams.<\/p>\n

His wife, Nicola, said on behalf of the family: \u201cWe would like to pass on our sincerest gratitude to all involved in the search for Bryn over the last three weeks, including the police, voluntary search services and the public for all their work and support.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 56-year-old was last seen at his home on December 6, 2025.<\/p>\n

A wide-ranging investigation and search operation was launched following a missing persons\u2019 report, involving officers from the local policing district, the Criminal Investigation Department, Tactical Support Group, Police Search and Rescue, Air Support Unit, Dogs Section, Body Recovery Team, ANPR, and Economic Crime and Technical Support units.<\/p>\n

In the weeks that followed, searches focused on the coastline near Orlock Point and surrounding areas, with specialist resources, police dog teams, and community volunteers deployed as officers worked to trace Mr Williams\u2019 last known movements.<\/p>\n

Police also appealed to the public for information on his whereabouts, including details of his blue Porsche Macan, as concern grew among family and friends with Christmas approaching.<\/p>\n

The body of Mr Williams was discovered on Friday, December 26.<\/p>\n

The Police Service of Northern Ireland has thanked all those who provided information and assisted in the search, including HM Coastguard and volunteers from a number of Northern Ireland Voluntary Search and Rescue (NIVSAR) organisations, including the RNLI, Community Rescue Service, Sky Watch NI and the Search and Rescue Dog Association (Ireland North).<\/p>\n

All search activity was coordinated by a Police Search Advisor (POLSA).<\/p>\n

Sergeant Brown, the Police Search Advisor, said: \u201cAll involved worked tirelessly right up to Boxing Day morning in an effort to find Bryn and bring him home to his family.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur thoughts are with the Williams family at this very sad time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Campbell added: \u201cThe search for Bryn was an extensive operation and I would like to extend my gratitude to all agencies involved and members of the public for their assistance throughout the investigation.
