Robinson declared that he is unmoved as a new vacancy opened up at Pittodrie after Aberdeen, who are two spots above Robinson\u2019s 10th-placed Buddies in the League table, sacked manager Jimmy Thelin on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Instead, the seven-times-capped former international\u2019s full focus is on steering St Mirren away from the relegation places as they face a crunch trip to bottom side Livingston on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt doesn\u2019t turn my head. I\u2019ve been linked with every job in Scotland, England, Ireland,\u201d Robinson stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been in the game a long, long time now, so you just get used to getting linked with stuff.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve got a big enough job to concentrate on Tuesday night than concentrating on anybody else, and what you also have to remember is somebody\u2019s lost their job, which is horrible.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a horrible industry. It\u2019s certainly not for me to talk about anybody else\u2019s job.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the minute, we\u2019re in a relegation battle. If we win our two games in hand, you\u2019re on the verge of the top six again and that\u2019s how tight this League is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Robinson was the toast of Paisley in December after St Mirren stunned Celtic 3-1 to win the Scottish League Cup courtesy of a Marcus Fraser goal and a Jonah Ayunga brace.<\/p>\n

However, his full focus is now on the League and, amid the icy conditions across the UK and Ireland, admitted his players were unable to train ahead of the clash with Livi.<\/p>\n

But the former Oldham Athletic, Morecambe and Motherwell boss is refusing to use that as an excuse for his players not to perform in West Lothian.<\/p>\n

We didn\u2019t train before we went to Aberdeen, if you remember the storm, and we were brilliant and won.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cWe couldn\u2019t train before the Motherwell game, we had no facility to train,\u201d he admitted.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe astroturf was completely frozen as well, which is a shame because the club have invested a lot of money into covers on the grass pitch, which we thought would work. It didn\u2019t work at all for us, unfortunately.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut that\u2019s no excuse. We didn\u2019t train before we went to Aberdeen, if you remember the storm, and we were brilliant and won. So, there\u2019s no rhyme or reason sometimes in football.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, again, it\u2019ll be very, very minimal what we\u2019re able to do in terms of our preparation. But that\u2019s not an excuse.<\/p>\n
