Gordon Ramsay made a television appearance on This Morning today alongside his daughter Tilly, where the celebrity chef stood by his father-of-the-bride speech at Holly Ramsay’s wedding to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty.<\/p>\n

The 59-year-old described his address at the December nuptials as “perfect and warm,” despite reports that his words had caused upset with the groom’s estranged mother, Caroline Peaty.<\/p>\n

Speaking to presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, Mr Ramsay reflected on the emotional moment: “Being a dad of three daughters, you dream of that moment.”<\/p>\n

He admitted to being “a hot mess” but maintained the speech struck the right tone, adding: “You’ve got to be warm and emotional but it was a tough gig.”<\/p>\n

According to The Sun, Mr Ramsay’s speech included compliments about Holly’s appearance and told Adam he was a “lucky man,” reportedly adding: “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.”<\/p>\n

The publication also claimed the chef made a pointed remark about Adam’s absent parents, allegedly telling his daughter: “Shame you don’t have the same.”<\/p>\n

Holly and Adam exchanged vows at Bath Abbey on 27 December, with a reception at Kin House. <\/p>\n

The ceremony took place amid a bitter rift within the Peaty family, which resulted in Adam’s mother Caroline being excluded from the proceedings.<\/p>\n

Only one member of Adam’s family attended the wedding, with his sister Beth serving as a bridesmaid. <\/p>\n

Reports suggest Adam’s father Mark was invited but told he would be seated at the back.<\/p>\n

A family source close to Caroline told the Daily Mail that she was left “horrified” by the moment in the speech and believes the celebrity chef had “pre-planned” the cruel swipe against her.<\/p>\n

The source described the remarks as “cruel” and “very hurtful,” adding: “Gordon saying Tana will be a good mum to them both makes Caroline sound like a bad mum. It was a cruel dig at her.”<\/p>\n

They continued: “She has always done her best for all her children. She is a very good mum. Who says this wasn’t pre-planned?”<\/p>\n

The source concluded: “We may not have much as a family but we have values.”<\/p>\n

Caroline, 59, had previously told the Daily Mail that she felt as if Holly and Adam “have cut my heart out.”<\/p>\n

Tilly, 24, revealed she had spent time with her father on Christmas Eve as he rehearsed his words for the big day.<\/p>\n

“I was sat in his room for an hour as he was just reading through it,” she explained. “It was just like going through everything, but no tweaks were needed. It was perfect. It made everybody cry.”<\/p>\n

The Strictly Come Dancing star described witnessing her sister and Adam together as “so emotional but so incredible.”<\/p>\n

She added: “It was a big day for all of us.”<\/p>\n

Tilly went on to characterise the entire occasion as “perfect,” emphasising how happy the newlyweds appeared throughout the celebrations.<\/p>\n

The couple married surrounded by the Ramsay family and friends at the historic Bath venue.<\/p>\n

During the cooking segment, father and daughter prepared teriyaki salmon together while engaging in playful bickering over the dish.<\/p>\n

The light-hearted atmosphere took an unexpected turn when Mr Ramsay accidentally knocked over a container of soy sauce and let slip an expletive.<\/p>\n

“Oh s***,” the chef exclaimed, prompting Shephard to quickly intervene: “Just in case that spilled into the classic Ramsay work, apologies. We are live. I’m just pre-empting a strike.”<\/p>\n

Mr Ramsay protested his innocence, insisting: “I said shoot! Ben – come on, Ben!”<\/p>\n

The pair also squabbled over Tilly adjusting the hob temperatures, with Mr Ramsay questioning “what are you doing?” as they disagreed over her cooking technique.<\/p>\n
