<\/p>\n\tCourse Closed – Due to Snow…<\/p>\n
\tThat is the message that many of us are waking up to this morning. Even if your course has somehow managed to stay open, it will probably be frozen and, let’s be honest, that isn\u2019t much fun. Albeit some exercise is better than none, I suppose. But what should you be doing this week if you can’t get on a golf course?<\/p>\n
\tSet Yourself Golf Goals For 2026\u00a0<\/p>\n

\tSo here we are, the dawn of another year and I\u2019m already itching to get to a golf course. I\u2019ve spent some time this morning (as I do every year on my first day back to work) going through my Golfshake stats for the previous year and setting myself some goals for the coming year.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tFor me, this is mainly around scoring averages, putting, and penalties per round – all of which must improve during 2026 to ensure I don\u2019t suffer in the first seven months of this year, like I did last.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tThe stat tracking system on Golfshake<\/a> is great, not just for tracking where you have played and keeping a handicap (if you\u2019re not a club member), but during the course of the year I will keep dropping back into the yearly reports, stats overview and, specifically for me, the course analysis section.\u00a0<\/p>\n \tSo we\u2019ve had Christmas, had that really weird time between Christmas and New Year where nobody really knows what day it is (apparently now labelled Twixmas?) but all that\u2019s really on my mind is 1: How long before this snow clears, will it be gone by the weekend so I can get my 2026 golf underway. and 2: It’s now been five days and counting since my last round.\u00a0<\/p>\n \tWatch Golf Content on YouTube<\/p>\n \tI\u2019ve watched far too much YouTube, including our very own Ryan Rastall\u2019s excellent shaft comparison between the Ventus and KBS<\/a>, which I find really interesting as it’s also the time of year that many of us (myself included) might start to view new equipment releases and be contemplating any equipment changes for the year. Again, like me, you may have already hit c399876884 balls at the range during the Christmas period and already and have a camera roll filled with swing videos, so it might now be a good idea to get in with a pro for your first lesson of the year, or sign up to some online lessons via a platform like Skillest where you can send videos over to a professional and get some analysis via video.\u00a0<\/p>\n
