Cindy Beale<\/a> (Michelle Collins<\/a>) reveals all about her Christmas<\/a> ordeal in EastEnders next week.<\/p>\n Viewers of the BBC soap waiting anxiously\u00a0for over two months to find out the identity of the mystery assailant that whacked Cindy around the head with a snow shovel<\/a>.<\/p>\n After waking up from a medically induced coma, she pointed her finger at pretty much\u00a0everyone\u00a0in her extended family.<\/p>\n Evidence was stacked against each member of the Beale and Knight clans \u2013 and in every instalment we were given some\u00a0more damning clues<\/a>\u00a0as to who might be responsible.<\/p>\n Eventually, during February\u2019s 40th anniversary celebrations, the truth was outed.<\/p>\n After aiming a gun at her estranged partner Ian Beale<\/a> (Adam Woodyatt) \u2013 who was holding the missing locket\u00a0she believed was the final clue to nailing her walloper<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 he revealed that their son Peter<\/a> (Thomas Law<\/a>) was actually responsible.<\/p>\n Cindy was in disbelief that he would\u00a0ever\u00a0do that to her, and it became clear that something wasn\u2019t exactly ringing true.<\/p>\n Ian\u2019s mum Kathy<\/a> (Gillian Taylforth<\/a>) burst in, and\u00a0admitted that she had stolen the locket\u00a0<\/a>from Cindy\u2019s unconscious body after wielding the shovel, wanting to put an end to her many years of dastardly behaviour.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t In a further twist, Cindy then pushed Ian in front of Reiss Colwell\u2019<\/a>s (Jonny Freeman<\/a>) car, causing a chain of events that would see The Queen Vic pub go up in the flames.<\/p>\n Ostracised from her family, and knowing that Ian and Kathy now had leverage on her, she fled to stay with best pal Gita.<\/p>\n Peter became alarmed on Mother\u2019s Day when he couldn\u2019t get in touch with her, and after contacting Gita, was told that she hadn\u2019t seen her either.<\/p>\n His fianc\u00e9e Lauren Branning<\/a> (Jacqueline Jossa<\/a>) became frustrated that during his plight to locate his mum, he\u2019d failed to attend her next baby scan.<\/p>\n She dealt a troubling ultimatum \u2013 it was either their family, or Cindy<\/a>. Peter caved and popped the question to her, in an attempt to show commitment, but she declined.<\/p>\n Later, Lauren got down on one knee herself and asked for Peter\u2019s hand in marriage.<\/p>\n In upcoming scenes, the mother-in-law from hell returns to Albert Square and gatecrashes their engagement.<\/a><\/p>\n \u2018Cindy comes back wanting to make amends,\u2019 actress Michelle Collins told us.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t \u2018Wanting to get back with her family, but I think what she doesn\u2019t realise is that people have not forgotten and they\u2019re not going to forgive her that easily. <\/p>\n \u2018It\u2019s going to take a long time, and Cindy gets a bit of a shock when she comes back from how people react to her.\u2019<\/p>\n Lauren is furious when Peter misses yet another scan, too distracted by his phone. With both the Beales and Knights furious to see her, Cindy decides its time to come clean and tell everyone that Kathy attacked her.<\/p>\n While we can\u2019t reveal the aftermath of the explosive confession, it\u2019s bound to ruffle quite a few feathers!<\/p>\n As Lauren rushes off home, events take a concerning turn when her waters break.
