Pictures<\/p>\n<p>A fourth \u201cAvatar\u201d film hasn\u2019t yet been greenlit, and the question of whether Disney will do a fourth and fifth film remains unclear.<\/p>\n<p>Even if it does go ahead, there\u2019s still the question as to whether filmmaker James Cameron will direct them.  Cameron himself has previously indicated he may potentially step away and hand the directorial reins over to someone else while he produces.<\/p>\n<p>Robert Rodriguez has been floated as one potential, he and Cameron did such an arrangement with \u201cAlita: Battle Angel\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Now, <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/james-wan-avatar-movie-director-wish-james-cameron\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Screen Rant<\/a> reports that \u201cThe Conjuring\u201d and \u201cSaw\u201d director James Wan has confirmed he\u2019d love to have a go at directing the next film: \u201cI have not done Avatar. Yeah, if you could put a good one for me with James Cameron, I\u2019d love to take a crack at that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wan certainly has had experience with large-scale productions such as \u201cFurious 7\u201d and the two \u201cAquaman\u201d films; this would be something quite different for him.<\/p>\n<p>Wan last directed the \u201cAquaman\u201d sequel, which, like all DC film adaptations that year, fizzled at the box office.  He\u2019s attached as producer to numerous projects from \u201cThe Backrooms\u201d film to horror tale \u201cBorder Patrol\u201d and new iterations of \u201cThe Tommyknockers\u201d and \u201cDylan Dog\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of directing he\u2019s long been developing a film adaptation of H.P.
