\n\tThe saga of Mickey Rourke<\/a>\u2018s latest round of financial woes has taken another bizarre turn as the actor has released a video denouncing a GoFundMe set up in his name<\/a> by his longtime manager, allegedly with his permission.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe fundraiser, launched early Sunday morning, is nearing its $100,000 goal \u2014\u00a0money meant to help Rourke remain in his home after being served an eviction notice for falling $60,000 behind in rent.<\/p>\n

\n\tSeated with his beloved rescue dog Lucky on his lap, a distraught Rourke, in a fuchsia V-neck T-shirt and straw cowboy hat, addresses his nearly 500,000 Instagram followers.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSomething\u2019s come up that I\u2019m really frustrated, confused and I don\u2019t understand,\u201d Rourke, 73, says. \u201cSomebody set up some kind of foundation or fund for me to donate money. A charity. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAnd that\u2019s not me. If I needed money I wouldn\u2019t ask for no charity. I\u2019d rather stick a gun up my ass and pull the trigger,\u201d he continues. \u201cWhoever did this, I don\u2019t know why they did it. I wouldn\u2019t know what a GoFundMe is in a million years.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAs reported exclusively by The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, the account was created by Liya-Joelle Jones, assistant to Kimberly Hines, Rourke\u2019s manager for a decade. Hines and Jones both told THR that the GoFundMe was created \u201cwith Mickey\u2019s permission.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tHines now tells THR that Rourke may not have been completely clear on the details of how a GoFundMe works<\/a> and is now embarrassed that the effort has become worldwide news.<\/p>\n

\n\tRourke, however, is denying any knowledge of who created the fundraiser and insists he would never turn to fans for financial help, an act of desperation he calls \u201chumiliating,\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRourke candidly admits he was terrible at maintaining finances throughout his career, with online estimates putting his net worth at its peak at $5 million. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI did a terrible job managing my career. I wasn\u2019t very diplomatic. I had to go to 20 years of therapy to get over that. But I\u2019m not that person anymore. \u2026 I\u2019m not that wild man I was 20 years ago,\u201d he concedes.<\/p>\n

\n\tRourke goes on to pledge that he will reach out to his longtime lawyer, Bill Sobel, and return any money donated to the GoFundMe by fans.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI would never ask strangers or fans for a nickel,\u201d Rourke says. \u201cIt\u2019s not my style. You ask anybody who knows me. It\u2019s humiliating and fucking embarrassing\u2026 I want you to get your money back. All things will pass.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere\u2019s only one person I can think of that would do such a thing. I hope it\u2019s not the person I\u2019m thinking about,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n
