A new rumor has surfaced, revealing Marvel<\/strong>\u2018s plans for Venom<\/strong> in Spider-Man 4<\/strong> and its sequels. It suggests that Marvel wants to put its own spin on the Symbiote storyline for Tom Holland\u2019s next set of Spider-Man films. Notably, Spider-Man: No Way Home showed Tom Hardy\u2019s Eddie Brock leaving behind a piece of the Venom symbiote in the MCU, teasing its involvement in future storylines.<\/p>\n

Spider-Man\u2019s new trilogy could revamp Venom for the MCU<\/p>\n

According to Daniel RPK<\/a>, Marvel Studios reportedly \u201cwants [its] own take on the Symbiote for [the] new [Spider-Man] trilogy.\u201d However, this is only a rumor, as Marvel has not officially addressed its plans for Venom in Spider-Man 4 and its sequels. <\/p>\n

Although Eddie Brock has not appeared in the MCU, Marvel has introduced a potential host for the Venom<\/a> symbiote, Mac Gargan, who, in the comics, is one of many of Venom\u2019s hosts. Played by Michael Mando, he first appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming and will reprise his role in Brand New Day, where he is expected to become Scorpion. Notably, Gargan holds a grudge against Spider-Man for his imprisonment, as established in Homecoming\u2019s mid-credits scene, an aspect of the character that Marvel can incorporate into their own, unique Venom storyline.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, Mando once teased the prospect of Gargan not only becoming Scorpion but also Venom in the MCU. In August 2025, the Better Call Saul actor shared two Instagram stories. One of those, was an artwork of Scorpion and Venom standing side-by-side (via Murphy\u2019s Multiverse<\/a>).<\/p>\n

In the comics, as Venom, Gargan set himself apart from Eddie Brock\u2019s incarnation via his cannibalism and savagery. While Brock adhered to a strict yet twisted \u201cLethal Protector\u201d code, Gargan succumbed to the symbiote\u2019s parasitic influence and began consuming his opponents. However, according to a recent rumor from REDACTEDSpider<\/a>, Marvel reportedly doesn\u2019t want to include the character\u2019s cannibalistic aspects even though they want to retain his Lethal Protector nature.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear when Venom will make his MCU debut.
