The weather intensified in the afternoon and schools closed at 3pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-847637\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/AFP__20260106__89QQ3VG__v1__MidRes__FranceWeatherSnow.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Snow blankets the gardens of Versailles.
