\n The Integrated Diabetes Team Clyde, part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC), received the Excellence in Diabetes Award at the 2025 Scottish Healthcare Awards.\n<\/p>\n
\n The multi-disciplinary team, which includes specialist nurses, pharmacists and consultants, were recognised\u00a0for their efforts in improving inpatient care for those with the condition.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n Working across Renfrewshire, Inverclyde, and West Dunbartonshire, the team have developed practical resources to help hospital staff manage patients with diabetes.\n<\/p>\n
\n Their new checklist and pocket guide offer clear information on medication, blood glucose and ketone monitoring, the safe use of insulin, and foot ulceration.\n<\/p>\n
\n These materials have been piloted at Clyde hospitals, including the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Inverclyde Royal Hospital, and the Vale of Leven Hospital, and received\u00a0positive feedback from staff.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
