Isaac Hutchinson’s return to Bristol Rovers from Cheltenham Town has been confirmed.<\/p>\n
As revealed by Gloucestershire Live on Monday<\/a>, the 25-year-old attacking midfielder has been recalled halfway through a season-long loan with the League Two Robins.<\/p>\n Hutchinson arrived at Cheltenham on September 1 after being subjected to abuse from a small minority of Rovers fans, who also targeted his family.<\/p>\n The Memorial Stadium club issued a statement at the time, saying they had a “zero-tolerance policy towards abuse of any kind” and would “work closely with the relevant parties, including the EFL and the police, to identify the individuals involved.”<\/p>\n Hutchinson joined Rovers on a three-year deal from Walsall in summer 2024 and had scored twice this season for his parent club before moving to Whaddon Road.<\/p>\n It took him less than two minutes to open his account for Cheltenham, curling in a superb free-kick from the edge of the box to secure a 1-0 home victory over Accrington Stanley<\/a>, the club’s first win of the season.<\/p>\n He has contributed another seven goals since then, topping the scoring charts for Steve Cotterill’s rapidly improving team, as well as providing three assists.<\/p>\n Hutchinson has been influential in the club’s run to the third round of the FA Cup.
