This is a club with a unique spirit and a proud history of winning trophies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy job is to protect that identity and create a team that reflects these values in every game we play as we continue winning trophies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo be entrusted with this role means the world to me and I want to thank all involved for the opportunity and faith in undertaking this job. I will give everything to bring the success this club deserves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/is-man-united-or-chelsea-better-job-for-a-manager\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Why Man Utd is still a better job than Chelsea even as the bin-fire rages<\/a><br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It has since been reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/chelsea-transfer-plan-revealed-lots-money-rosenior-appointment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Rosenior is \u2018keen\u2019 to make improvements to his squad in this transfer window<\/strong><\/a>, while Spanish outlet Fichajes claims his \u2018first request\u2019 is Real Madrid star Trent Alexander-Arnold.<\/p>\n<p>This obviously needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/man-utd-newcastle-offer-35m-for-alexander-arnold-as-real-madrid-consider-sale-of-ex-liverpool-star\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>the former Liverpool star has been heavily linked with several Premier League clubs in recent days.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Fichajes have said that Rosenior \u2018wants to sign\u2019 Alexander-Arnold, with Chelsea \u2018preparing an offer\u2019 to meet his request.<\/p>\n<p>The report claims:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2018At the Bernab\u00e9u, they believe that accepting a loan with an option to buy would weaken their negotiating position. Their strategy is to stand firm and wait for more ambitious offers from England.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018In London, taking things a step further isn\u2019t out of the question. Sources close to the club suggest that Chelsea could be preparing a multi-million pound offer to try and convince Real Madrid, assuming the deal must be a permanent transfer.
