Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has praised his opposite number at Leeds United, Daniel Farke, ahead of the Premier League meeting between the two sides. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Daniel Farke<\/a> has overseen an impressive turnaround at Leeds in recent weeks, having been under significant pressure just a few weeks ago. <\/p>\n

Leeds are preparing to meet Newcastle for the second time in the 2025\/26 Premier League<\/a> season, having held the Magpies to a 0-0 draw at Elland Road in August. <\/p>\n

Farke is hoping he can welcome Jayden Bogle back into his squad<\/a> for the trip to St James\u2019 Park as Leeds look to extend their unbeaten run to eight consecutive games. <\/p>\n

Now, Howe has praised Farke for transforming Leeds\u2019 style of play this season, having found a new defensive resilience in recent weeks. <\/p>\n

Eddie Howe praises Leeds United manager Daniel Farke<\/p>\n

Speaking in his weekly press conference ahead of the game against Leeds<\/a>, Howe spoke highly of his opposite number. <\/p>\n

Having praised Leeds midfielder Sean Longstaff<\/a> ahead of his return to the North East, Howe explained that he was a big admirer of the Leeds boss, who he believes has achieved something that is \u201cso difficult\u201d this season. <\/p>\n

Howe said: \u201cI think they\u2019ve come back into the Premier League and they\u2019ve done really, really well. I think the first game we had against them, we sort of saw very early in the season how strong they could be this year. <\/p>\n

\u201cI thought they were really good that day, and it was a tough game for us. I think Daniel\u2019s done a really good job. <\/p>\n

\u201cLast year, I think they got promoted off the back of really expansive, entertaining football and now into the Premier League, where I think they\u2019ve done well defensively and they\u2019ve looked really solid, which is a huge compliment for any team coming up.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s so difficult to defend and keep clean sheets and to be solid in that way, and they\u2019ve also had the ability to score goals, and they look quite creative. So, a good unbeaten run for them. I think they\u2019ve been good away from home. So, yes, it\u2019s going to be a tough game.\u201d.<\/p>\n

Daniel Farke has the edge against Eddie Howe<\/p>\n

Farke will be confident heading to Tyneside to face Howe\u2019s Newcastle as he has a strong record against the Magpies\u2019 manager in recent years. <\/p>\n

According to the BBC<\/a>, Howe has never beaten Farke in the Premier League during his managerial career, having faced off against the Leeds boss three times in the top flight.<\/p>\n

During that time, Farke has won one of the three meetings, with two ending in draws, including the 0-0 stalemate between the two sides at Elland Road<\/a> earlier this year. <\/p>\n

However, Howe did get the upper hand against Farke on one occasion in his career, as he led his Bournemouth side to a 2-1 EFL Cup tie in October 2018. <\/p>\n
