Conor McGregor wants a rerun of his 2017 blockbuster boxing bout with Floyd Mayweather, but not in the ring.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Instead, the Irishman wants to rematch Mayweather in MMA, predicting a quick stoppage against his rival in the cage.<\/p>\n

Mayweather retired from boxing with a perfect 50-0 record after he defeated McGregor in a lucrative crossover fight<\/a> in August 2017.<\/p>\n

Both fighters reportedly earned a combined $400million<\/a> from the meeting, with pay-per-view figures coming in at a staggering 4.3million – just shy of Mayweather’s record-breaking clash with Manny Pacquiao<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mayweather has since contested a series of exhibition bouts against the likes of Logan Paul<\/a>, KSI<\/a>‘s brother Deji,<\/a> and Geordie Shore’s Aaron Chalmers<\/a>, who described the ‘crazy experience’ of fighting ‘Pretty Boy<\/a>‘ in a conversation with talkSPORT.com. <\/p>\n

McGregor, meanwhile, returned to the UFC<\/a> 14 months later, but came up short in his comeback fight, losing a lightweight title bout to Khabib Nurmagomedov<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He bounced back with a 40-second win over Donald Cerrone<\/a> before suffering back-to-back defeats to Dustin Poirier<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old has remained out of action ever since the two losses in 2021, having broken his leg in the most recent one, but is expected to return at the UFC’s White House card<\/a> in June this year.<\/p>\n

It is at the White House where McGregor has foreseen beating Mayweather in ten seconds.<\/p>\n

Conor McGregor wants ‘promised MMA bout’ with Floyd Mayweather<\/p>\n

Reacting to an old video of a press conference with Mayweather, McGregor took to Instagram on Tuesday and said: “Fun times.<\/p>\n

“Floyd Mayweather, when you are ready for that promised MMA bout, I am here.<\/p>\n

“The White House is nice in the summer, I heard.<\/p>\n

“Although… I could fight both the same night.<\/p>\n

“Floyd MMA? EASY. 10 seconds.”<\/p>\n

McGregor is, of course, referring to Michael Chandler<\/a>, who many believe will be the Irishman’s opponent for his return at the White House.<\/p>\n

Chandler coached alongside McGregor on The Ultimate Fighter 31 in 2023 and has expressed his desire to finish their rivalry in the cage<\/a> multiple times.<\/p>\n

Both men were scheduled to headline UFC 303 in June 2024, but the bout collapsed due to McGregor injuring his toe in sparring.<\/p>\n

Mayweather revealed in 2018 that he had started training for a potential MMA bout<\/a>, but nothing has come of his words since.<\/p>\n

The 48-year-old announced in September that he had agreed to a wild exhibition bout<\/a> with Mike Tyson<\/a>.<\/p>\n
