{"id":680011,"date":"2026-01-07T13:38:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-07T13:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/680011\/"},"modified":"2026-01-07T13:38:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-07T13:38:10","slug":"man-dies-after-being-hit-by-met-police-vehicle-in-borough","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/680011\/","title":{"rendered":"Man dies after being hit by Met Police vehicle in Borough"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">A man in his 30s has died after he was hit by a police vehicle on an emergency call in south London.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The pedestrian was struck by the marked vehicle on Borough High Street at 00:34 GMT, the Metropolitan Police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He was given emergency first aid by officers and treated by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, but died at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The man&#8217;s next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers, the force said.
