{"id":680437,"date":"2026-01-07T18:09:11","date_gmt":"2026-01-07T18:09:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/680437\/"},"modified":"2026-01-07T18:09:11","modified_gmt":"2026-01-07T18:09:11","slug":"freedom-pass-free-travel-for-older-londoners-could-be-cut-back-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/680437\/","title":{"rendered":"Freedom Pass free travel for older Londoners could be cut back"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Access to free travel across the capital could be reduced after London Councils confirmed it was planning to carry out a review of the Older Person&#8217;s Freedom Pass.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The body, which represents London&#8217;s 32 boroughs and the City of London, is concerned about the rising expense for councils of delivering the scheme.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">It said no changes were currently planned, but one of the ideas that has been suggested was to limit free transport for over 66-year-olds to buses only.
