More than \u00a330,000 has been raised to bring home the body of a Scottish hairdresser who died on holiday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Steven Hewitt, who owned Ven The Salon in\u00a0Glasgow, died while abroad, his fiance Dean Rowland confirmed on social media.<\/p>\n

Described as a \u201crare soul who left a mark wherever he went\u201d, family and friends have raised \u00a333,000 to repatriate him back to Scotland.<\/p>\n

A post of the salon\u2019s social media read: \u201cWe are writing this post with a heavy heart. As some of you may already know Steven has sadly passed away on holiday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are all heartbroken and our thoughts are with Dean, family and friends. Thank you for all your kind words and support during this sad time.\u201d<\/p>\n

A tribute on the GoFundMe site <\/a>read: \u201cIn Glasgow, he was a famous and truly loved face, a warm presence, and a special friend to many. His kindness, humour, and generosity of spirit touched countless hearts, and the love people have for him is deeply felt in the messages, memories, and grief being shared now.<\/p>\n

\u201cTragically, Steven is no longer with us. As his family faces the unimaginable pain of loss, they are also carrying the heavy financial burden of bringing him home. Steven belongs on Scottish soil, laid to rest with the dignity, peace, and love he so freely gave in life.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are raising funds to support Steven\u2019s family and to cover the costs of bringing him back to Scotland, so he can be laid to rest where his heart truly was, among his people, in the place he called home.<\/p>\n
