EDF will use the Jumptech software platform to run and scale its residential solar installation programme in the UK.<\/p>\n
The platform from Cambridge-based software provider Jumptech, which operates in the UK and US, will centralise surveys, documentation, scheduling and installation checks to support EDF\u2019s domestic clean technology offering.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Using the software means the EDF operations team can manage subcontractors, monitor progress and maintain compliance across high volumes of installations.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Martin Aylward, head of zero carbon homes at EDF, said Jumptech\u2019s platform is the central application in the company\u2019s solar tech stack.<\/p>\n
Jumptech\u2019s platform manages EV charger, solar, battery and heat pump installations and is contracted by other major energy companies including British Gas and OVO.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The software is also used by Chorley-based solar panel and battery installer Contact Solar, which EDF acquired in early 2024<\/a>. Contact Solar has a network of local installers across the country that EDF uses to help build its ‘whole house’ net zero offering.<\/p>\n The UK public is increasingly keen to install renewable technology at their properties, enjoying the lower energy bills that it provides. Figures from the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), which certifies domestic renewables installations, show that in\u00a0November the number of certified solar panel installations in 2025 surpassed 203,125<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 the previous annual record set in 2011.\u00a0<\/p>\n
