The project has been spearheaded by architects <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bdp.com\/uk\/sectors\/sport\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BDP Pattern<\/a>, who also worked on Everton\u2019s new arena in Bramley-Moore Dock.<\/p>\n<p>Once fully expanded Leeds United \u2013 which is owned by the investment arm of the San Francisco 49ers NFL franchise, 49ers Enterprises \u2013 will see their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityam.com\/birmingham-citys-62000-seat-stadium-with-12-chimneys-and-sky-bar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">stadium<\/a> capacity rise to 53,000, making it the 12th biggest stadium in the UK and the seventh largest in the Premier League, between Manchester City\u2019s Etihad Stadium and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityam.com\/lessons-for-man-utd-from-evertons-new-stadium-by-the-architect-behind-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Everton\u2019s Hill Dickinson Stadium<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\t\tLeeds United regeneration<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA stadium development offers real, shared experiences, for creating memories, enjoying the atmosphere of a live game, and having more choice and flexibility before and after kick-off,\u201d Nick Tyrer, architect associate director at BDP Pattern told City AM. \u201cFans want a full matchday experience beyond the 90 minutes. Being cognisant of this and designing stadia\u00a0with\u00a0fans creates places brands want to be part of.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>BDP Pattern\u2019s other projects include The Terrace fan zone at Brighton and Hove Albion, the Formula 1 Paddock Club at the United Arab Emirates\u2019 Yas Marina circuit, and the Lee Valley Velodrome.<\/p>\n<p>It comes amid a flurry of activity within the Premier League in terms of stadium development.
