Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford has shown his support to Benjamin Sesko on social media after the Slovenian was slammed by pundit Tim Sherwood.<\/p>\n

Sesko scored a brace on Wednesday night during the Reds’ 2-2 draw at Burnley<\/a>. The Slovenian has largely struggled since arriving at Old Trafford<\/a> from RB Leipzig in the summer, having scored just four goals in total for United.<\/p>\n

Rashford, meanwhile, has excelled during his loan spell at Barcelona. The Reds <\/a>academy graduate has scored seven goals and provided 11 assists so far for Hansi Flick’s team, but it’s clear that the winger has been keeping an eye on events at M16 as well.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old has liked Sesko’s latest Instagram post, which shows a series of photos of him celebrating against the Clarets. Sesko said: “Thanks for support to our fans. We keep going, all together,” alongside a red love heart and a fist bumping emoji.<\/p>\n

Sesko’s goals and performance followed scathing comments from former Blackburn player and Tottenham Hotspur manager Sherwood. Sky Sports<\/a> analysed the striker’s display at Burnley, with Jamie Redknapp offering glowing praise.<\/p>\n

Sherwood, however, was not convinced and was reminded that he had suggested Sesko should be substituted at the interval.<\/p>\n

He said: “I think the positive is Sesko scoring two goals. Hopefully he gets some confidence from that.<\/p>\n

“He’s took six months to turn up at Man United. I am pleased for the lad, he has had a tough run of it.<\/p>\n

“I had him off the pitch at half time, never wear a Man United shirt again. I stand by what I say, he’s not good enough to play for Man United.<\/p>\n

“He’s turned up for one game against Burnley who are going to get relegated. Fair play to him, hopefully he gets some confidence and we start seeing something different from him.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Reds legend Gary Neville<\/a> commended Sesko after he skilfully redirected Dorgu’s cross. “Bingo time for Benjamin Sesko,” he declared.<\/p>\n

“We’ve not seen him smile much and his team mates are revelling in it with him.<\/p>\n

“He’s got in between the centre-backs all night, and he does it again. That’s a really good finish. Manchester United<\/a> have been really good in this second half.”<\/p>\n
