Hull KR will jet off to Tenerife on Friday for a nine-day warm-weather training camp as preparations continue for their title-defending 2026 campaign.<\/p>\n

The Robins have been back in pre-season since the end of November, with their international contingent returning shortly after Christmas<\/a>. Jez Litten, Mikey Lewis and Joe Burgess all represented England during the Ashes series, while Rhyse Martin and Tyrone May were a part of international squads with Papua New Guinea and Samoa respectively.<\/p>\n

Head coach Willie Peters says the club will focus on three core values during the overseas camp, with several changes having been made to the squad and coaching staff ahead of the 2026 campaign.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s three main things we speak about. First, building strong relationships and connections,\u201d Peters told Hull Live.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve got some new guys in the team, and you\u2019ve always got to work on relationships no matter what it is. Going away will help build strong relationships.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnother one is working hard. Getting some work physically done, but also getting mentally prepared for the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then knowing roles, so everyone comes back and has some clarity on what\u2019s expected for the year. If we tick off those three things, the camp will be a success – which I\u2019m sure it will be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hull KR<\/a> are one of several Super League clubs to make use of the elite facilities in Tenerife, which they have visited in each of Peters\u2019 four seasons in charge.<\/p>\n

Upon their return, the club\u2019s pre-season continues with a scheduled friendly against Wakefield Trinity at Sewell Group Craven Park on January 25<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m extremely grateful to our board. They understand the importance of the overseas camp, and it helps in our season, there\u2019s no doubt about that,\u201d added Peters.<\/p>\n
