People have been urged to plan travel ahead of timeManchester City will play Wolves while Chase Atlantic play Co-op Live(Image: PA)<\/p>\n

Transport bosses have warned people to avoid several roads around Manchester city centre<\/a> this evening as two major events are set to take place.<\/p>\n

Manchester City will take on Wolves at the Etihad Stadium kicking off at 8pm on Friday (May 2), while across the road, Australian band Chase Atlantic will play at Co-op Live.<\/p>\n

Roads in the area are expected to be extremely busy, with the Bee Network urging people to ‘re-time or re-route’ journeys to avoid delays.<\/p>\n

Alan Turing Way and Ashton<\/a> New Road are expected to be exceptionally busy as football fans and concert-goers make their way to the east Manchester arenas.<\/p>\n

The major routes are expected to be packed from around 5pm.<\/p>\n

In a post on X, the Bee Network said: “This evening [2 May], City play at The Etihad Stadium, whilst Chase Atlantic perform at @TheCoopLive<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Roads around the arena including Alan Turing Way and Ashton New Road will be very busy from 5pm. Re-time or re-route your journey to avoid delays.”<\/p>\n
