A number of employees at British cycling clothing brand Endura<\/a> have announced they are leaving the company amid its reported relocation from Scotland to England.<\/p>\n

First reported by road.cc<\/a>, several Endura staff members wrote on LinkedIn this week that they are \u201cfacing redundancy\u201d and had made the \u201ctough decision\u201d to leave.<\/p>\n

The news follows two years of financial losses for the brand; Endura lost \u00a34.7 million in its most recent accounts, covering the year to 1 February 2025. Losses mounted to more than \u00a314 million the previous year<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pentland Group, Endura\u2019s parent company since 2018, saw its profits fall from \u00a361.2 million to \u00a311.7 million in its most recent accounts.<\/p>\n

In a statement reported by road.cc, a spokesperson for Pentland Group said the Endura brand is set to move to a \u201cmore streamlined product process\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs part of this evolution, Pentland Brands has begun consultation with a number of employees across its UK offices, with some roles proposed to relocate to its new London Hub in Farringdon,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n

Endura was founded in 1993 and has long been based in Livingston, west of the Scottish capital Edinburgh.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s design manager of seven years, Pete Newton, wrote on LinkedIn that \u201ctotal relocation\u201d is now planned for the brand.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is with sadness that I\u2019ve a confirmed leaving date [at] the beginning of April,\u201d Newton wrote. \u201cThe options available just weren\u2019t workable so I\u2019m bowing out \u2013 a tough decision but the right one for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marketing manager Martin Steele also confirmed his departure: \u201cWith Endura leaving Scotland, it\u2019s time for me to leave Endura and take the next step in my career. I\u2019ll be with the team for the next few months, so I\u2019m officially looking for new opportunities from April onwards.\u201d<\/p>\n

Likewise, another marketing manager, Katrin McDonald, who has worked at Endura for 15 years, confirmed she is \u201cfacing redundancy \u2013 while it\u2019s never easy to close a chapter, I\u2019m hugely grateful for the journey I\u2019ve had.\u201d<\/p>\n

Endura, which produces both road and off-road cycling gear<\/a>, achieved B Corp certification in 2024, a title that confirms it meets high social and environmental standards.<\/p>\n

Commenting in October on the company\u2019s most recent losses, director Andrew Long cited \u201cprior years of challenging market conditions within the UK and cycling industry as a whole\u201d.<\/p>\n

Endura closed its custom clothing division in early 2025 due to a lack of profitability.<\/p>\n
