{"id":684849,"date":"2026-01-09T16:31:11","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T16:31:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/684849\/"},"modified":"2026-01-09T16:31:11","modified_gmt":"2026-01-09T16:31:11","slug":"job-losses-reported-at-british-cycling-clothing-brand-amid-total-relocation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/684849\/","title":{"rendered":"Job losses reported at British cycling clothing brand amid &#8216;total relocation&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"91fb420b-235b-48b3-9c37-46959141bcc5\">A number of employees at British cycling clothing brand <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/reviews\/brand\/endura\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/reviews\/brand\/endura\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Endura<\/a> have announced they are leaving the company amid its reported relocation from Scotland to England.<\/p>\n<p>First reported by <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/road.cc\/content\/news\/redundancies-endura-reports-brand-leaving-scotland-317551\" target=\"_blank\" data-url=\"https:\/\/road.cc\/content\/news\/redundancies-endura-reports-brand-leaving-scotland-317551\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" rel=\"noopener\">road.cc<\/a>, several Endura staff members wrote on LinkedIn this week that they are \u201cfacing redundancy\u201d and had made the \u201ctough decision\u201d to leave.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"elk-seasonal\" data-url=\"\" href=\"\" target=\"_blank\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\" data-hl-processed=\"none\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"91fb420b-235b-48b3-9c37-46959141bcc5-2\">The news follows two years of financial losses for the brand; Endura lost \u00a34.7 million in its most recent accounts, covering the year to 1 February 2025. <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/news\/british-cycling-clothing-brand-posts-gbp14m-loss-falling-deep-into-the-red\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingweekly.com\/news\/british-cycling-clothing-brand-posts-gbp14m-loss-falling-deep-into-the-red\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Losses mounted to more than \u00a314 million the previous year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You may like<\/p>\n<p>Pentland Group, Endura\u2019s parent company since 2018, saw its profits fall from \u00a361.2 million to \u00a311.7 million in its most recent accounts.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement reported by road.cc, a spokesperson for Pentland Group said the Endura brand is set to move to a \u201cmore streamlined product process\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs part of this evolution, Pentland Brands has begun consultation with a number of employees across its UK offices, with some roles proposed to relocate to its new London Hub in Farringdon,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">Endura was founded in 1993 and has long been based in Livingston, west of the Scottish capital Edinburgh.<\/p>\n<p class=\"newsletter-form__strapline\">The latest race content, interviews, features, reviews and expert buying guides, direct to your inbox!<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s design manager of seven years, Pete Newton, wrote on LinkedIn that \u201ctotal relocation\u201d is now planned for the brand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is with sadness that I\u2019ve a confirmed leaving date [at] the beginning of April,\u201d Newton wrote. \u201cThe options available just weren\u2019t workable so I\u2019m bowing out \u2013 a tough decision but the right one for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Marketing manager Martin Steele also confirmed his departure: \u201cWith Endura leaving Scotland, it\u2019s time for me to leave Endura and take the next step in my career.
