With architecture by Eric Parry Architects and construction led by Mace Construct, it is due to be completed in 2027.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The topping out ceremony\u00a0marks the completion of the building\u2019s structural frame. It\u00a0follows a similar event\u00a0held\u00a0back in September for the same development\u2019s courts building, which\u00a0will house 18 specialist courtroom facilities dedicated to economic and\u00a0cyber crime\u00a0cases and serve as the new operational heart of the City of London Police.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The force has long-established public-private partnerships that saved the financial industry \u00a355.5 million in losses last year, while its Dedicated Card and Payment Crime Unit has prevented \u00a3800 million worth of fraud since its creation. Its Economic and Cyber Crime Academy has trained over 3,500 people in the last three years, upskilling national policing with vital\u00a0expertise\u00a0to investigate economic and\u00a0cyber crime.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In 2025 the force was graded\u00a0\u201coutstanding\u201d for crime recording and \u201cgood\u201d for investigations and response by His Majesty&#8217;s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire &amp; Rescue Services (HMICFRS) \u2014 a testament to its focus on victims and high-quality policing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Salisbury Square\u00a0development is a flagship project for the City Corporation and\u00a0supports\u00a0\u2018Destination City\u2019,\u00a0the growth strategy for the Square Mile. A\u00a0safe and secure environment\u00a0for\u00a0businesses is a significant draw\u00a0for\u00a0inward investment, supporting wider economic\u00a0and productivity\u00a0growth.\u00a0Protecting this environment, by keeping those\u00a0who\u00a0work,\u00a0live\u00a0and visit the City of London safe on the streets and online is\u00a0therefore of\u00a0paramount\u00a0importance to\u00a0maintaining\u00a0UK\u00a0economic security;\u00a0this is\u00a0the\u00a0key focus\u00a0of the\u00a0City of London Police.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Significant public realm improvements around the site will also enable future growth.\u00a0These include a new commercial building\u00a0to\u00a0provide much needed,\u00a0sustainable Grade A office space, the sensitive transformation of a listed building into a new hospitality venue, and a public square offering enhanced green and open spaces, improved walking\u00a0routes, and views of St Bride\u2019s Church spire\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0reinforcing the Square Mile\u2019s global business appeal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>City Corporation Policy\u00a0Chairman, Chris Hayward, said:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe City of London Corporation makes a vital contribution to the UK economy; its security is of vital importance.
