EastEnders spoilers<\/a> follow.<\/strong><\/p>\n

EastEnders has planned an emotional tribute to Mick Carter in new advanced spoilers. The Danny Dyer character was last seen on Christmas Day 2022, where he was presumed to have drowned<\/a> while trying to save Linda.<\/p>\n

In new scenes airing on 19 January, the BBC has teased that Linda will mark “Mick’s birthday” as part of the storylines \u2013 though what tribute does she have in store?<\/p>\n

Elsewhere during the week, Zoe will make a “life-changing decision”, while Oscar is facing “a tricky choice” and Max is forced to go on the “defensive”.<\/p>\n

Last year, Danny teased the possibility of returning to the soap<\/a>, with Mick’s death left somewhat ambiguous given a body was never found.<\/p>\n

“I do have a lot of people asking me about whether I’m going back and I’ll be honest, I would have gone back [for the soap’s recent 40th anniversary] if they’d have asked me, but they didn’t ask me,” he told The Late Late Show<\/a>. “I think they’ve got the hump with me now, I don’t know why!”<\/p>\n

He added: “Who knows? Maybe I will go back. You know, if the appetite’s still there for it, then maybe bring Mick back.”<\/p>\n

However, the year before Danny appeared to confirm to Heatworld<\/a> that Mick was very much “dead”<\/a>, adding: “Look, I take it as a compliment that people want me to go back.<\/p>\n

“Who knows? If there\u2019s no closure there, then maybe I would come back for a dream sequence. I don\u2019t think Mick could just rock up covered in seaweed!”<\/p>\n
