A man has been arrested after a group males were caught in the process of trying to rob a pub in Co Antrim.<\/p>\n
Police received a report of a burglary at licensed premises in the Ballyginniff Road area of Aldergrove, Crumlin.<\/p>\n
The PSNI have since issued an appeal seeking witnesses and information following the incident. <\/p>\n

Detective Sergeant Monaghan said: \u201cLocal officers attended the scene, where they heard banging and smashing coming from inside the building.<\/p>\n
\u201cA 44-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of burglary and going equipped for burglary. He remains in police custody at this time.<\/p>\n
\u201cDamage was caused to the inside of the property and to gaming machines.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe man arrested had a number of tools with him and we believe he was accompanied by at least one other male, who made off before our officers arrived.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone with information, including dash-cam, CCTV or other footage, to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 40 of 09\/01\/26.<\/p>\n
