Without them we starve,\u201d one supporter wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Others urged consumers to buy local produce, while some criticised diversification as \u201cnot farming\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Another commenter described a \u201cdouble-edged sword\u201d, saying farmers are encouraged to diversify while being blocked by regulation.<\/p>\n<p>One fan even called for \u201cJeremy Clarkson for agricultural minister\u201d.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Oh dear.
